Do I think this book is good? I don’t know. I am undeniably more hooked than the first one. Still feels weirdly juvenile in a lot of ways, some annoying some typical YA (but remember Yarros doesn’t want this to be YA!). I don’t know how to feel.

My problems with the first book are still present (everything about this feels YA but they’re forcing it as Adult fantasy so it can have sex), but I cannot deny that these books are page-turners.

Disclaimer: I LOVE YA, I just expected different things from a book marketed as Adult
