-How on earth are these mermaids pirouetting?(as a dancer I must know)

The main character just pirouetted on both feet… thats not a pirouette. And she was practicing turning so she wouldn’t get dizzy, no mention of spotting… I’m assuming the author just isn’t a dancer but that’s probably gonna bug me 😂😂😂😂
