reached part six finally, unfortunately i feel as if the plot has died

im in a slump and need a break unless something major happens within 20 pages

One can save a person who does not want to be ruined; but when her whole nature is so corrupt and so depraved that she actually perceives ruins as salvation, what is to be done?
