The sea was beautiful with the cold wind blowing over it - a deep blue, skirted with foam. It was great just sitting there looking at it, not saying anything, biting into the green apples. You forgot about everyone and became very distant, like an island lost out at sea.

The loneliness is so vast it is filling up the whole inside of the mobile home. It is flooding in, coming from the darkest depths of the night in waves that grow closer and closer together and ripple over the pale blue stars of the streetlamps, spreading its terrifying silence, and the moaning of the woman's voice is like the buzzing of a mosquito.
