Okay, first, the mention of my (small) hometown in Argentina caught me off guard. However, the fact that the author is having a South American making chicken mole is just soooo out of touch. Mole is almost exclusively Mexican. Mexico is part of North America/Central America (depending on who you speak to lol). Also, no little girl that speaks Spanish would call her mother “Mamacita”. It’s just ridiculous.

It’s awful when an author doesn’t know the difference between “they’re”, “their”, “there”, “your” and “you’re”. Also, the repeated phrases throughout the book. For example: “At one time, he thought Peggy one of the most beautiful women he’d ever seen” has come up already and it’s such a basic phrase to repeat sigh
