It is often claimed that Arabs initiated the 1948 war when they rejected partition. But to portray the Jews in Palestine as innocent victims of Arab aggression is ludicrous. Though Zionists had publicly agreed to partition, they had no intention of accepting its borders or demographics…There was no way to create a Jew state in Palestine without displacing large numbers of Arabs, who would never leave voluntarily.
