There’s stereotypes but kind of in the way that would be words at the time. I’m not of this culture and I know when I read middle eastern tropes I find things that irk me, so maybe I’m not picking up nuances, but this isn’t as bad as I feared it would be with that aspect.

Ok a wedding where the miners (who the whole town of men somehow didn’t abuse her) and the hero’s tribe somehow turns a bit campy. Otherwise the story has been pretty good.

Got this free in a collection. Kinda iffy since I don’t know about the author and usually indigenous stories are done somewhat over-stereotyped or white savior stories but will give it a try
