At first I wondered if knowing the plot of this thriller from the series would make listening dull as the dialogue is all but lifted directly from the pages. But Herron’s wit and is even more apparent in novel form and the Slow Horses grow even more defined as characters in this second installment especially with the welcome addition of Marcus and Shirley.
