Great world building and slowly revealing things bit by bit. Story pulls you in,

He’s fighting, I’m very intrigued by the class system and Will.

Vis works in a prison. The prisoners are attached to Sappers, machines that draw the ‘Will’ from those attached to them. A mysterious Sextus comes to visit a prison. They converse in a dead language which Vis knows thanks to his parents. The prisoner has information but won’t tell the Sextus without being released. The Sextus leaves and Vis finishes his shift. He heads to the theatre to fight for money.
