finishing the section on love and loss compelled me to intentionally reflect on death and invite myself to feel any lingering grief i might’ve hidden. it took me in a direction i wasn’t expecting. i feel sad, but in a slightly wistful way. i’ve never allowed myself to reflect in this way and, athough the feelings are uncomfortable, i’m going to sit with them anyway.
