“In noisy systems, errors do not cancel out. They add up.”
Banger quote. I know this book is somewhat divisive among the “yellow stats book” community but so far this seems like an extension of the fun case study format Nate Silver uses.

“Whenever you observe noise, you should work to reduce it!”
This statement seems pretty obvious, but I appreciate that the author explained it with (relatively simple) math.
Also the visualizations are great. I’m glad I did not DNF. Great commute read.

It’s amazing how few pages I can read during my commute.
This entire book is a thinly-veiled attempt to sell a consulting service that the author calls a “noise audit.” I’m tempted to DNF for that reason, but my rule is that I can’t rate books until I finish them.
So I will continue to read this as my commute book 🙃
