Catcher in the Rye is a weirdly comforting book that speaks to young men. I found myself agreeing with a lot of the points Holden made, however, also amused by how silly some of them were. One twist I did not se coming was the flip in character of Mr. Antolini from wise old father figure to a more nefarious pervert. It left a bitter sweet taste in my mouth as his words were powerful but his actions undermined them.
