I don't know if my memory is completely off or I was just oblivious to the adult story, strictly focused on the shark aspect but I could've sworn this story was about the killer shark and people on a boat trying to kill it.

Yeah a few people were killed but so far the majority of the story seems to be about people lying and cheating on their spouse and hidden mob dealings.
