My 2025 reading challenge shows I have already read 3 books this year (Author Unknown). I have not. Apparently, as of this year, Goodreads now automatically counts all the fanfics I read on my kindle towards my reading goal. Torn between manually deleting all the fanfics from my goal all year (tedious, but accurate) and getting to boggle at the number of fanfics I manage to devour when "taking a break".

If you don't add a "read" date--or delete it in an edit--they won't show up in your reading goals but will still be on your profile.

I refuse to link my GR and amazon accounts. I have no delusions they don't know who I am on the other site, but I absolutely despise the idea of them automatically posting GR updates based on my kindle activity.

This started January 1st, so maybe it's a new feature?

I can turn off the goodreads update when I start a book but hardly aver bother.

Annoying. I'll just cease making notes.
