I read a review that said Stil reminded the reviewer of Howl from Howl's Moving Castle and I completely agree. He reminds me also a lot of Rhys from The Two Princesses of Bamarre (who in all honestly is also similar to Howl in many ways, but I prefer Rhys). I love Stil!

This is fun so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of Stil. K.M. Shea is great at fairytale retellings. I'm sure by the end of this book I'll be enthralled.

First Kindle read of the year and I think it will be a great palate cleanser between Star Wars Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising and 2001: A Space Odyssey which I plan to read next. I want to savor Chaos Rising a bit more, though, so I am going to wait at least until tomorrow to begin reading this one. Chaos Rising was a great start to the year. 💫🤩
