I’m not sure if I will continue. It feels like Diogenes’ cynicism under the guise of stoicism via “realism” and “logic”— it’s far more logical to blend reality with idealism, and the outlook that this is giving is quite glib.

Just finished day 6’s practice & I’m honestly not sure how I feel about everything Burkeman is saying quite yet. Not to be one of “those liberals” but it feels like a lot advised practices come from a place of immense privilege. There’s a huge difference between “the art of letting go” and becoming overwhelmingly and selfishly disconnected from the world around you.
