I was so happy to get a demi sexual MC, but I don't feel like this character represents myself or the demi people I know personally.
However, we're not all the same, and I trust this author and expect they did some research. It's a spectrum, and maybe some people feel this way. Labels are stupid. Love is love. I'm happy to get any representation, even if it doesn't fit my experience ♥️

DEMI SEXUAL REPRESENTATION ♥️ I think demi is one of the most underrepresented and misunderstood communities in queer lit.
We need emotional connection. Once I have it, I'm more sexual than 90% of my fellow humans. Good luck keeping my hands off of you. People equate it with being ace, but it's very different. I didn't realize I was starving for this rep until now, it basically doesn't exist in queer lit 🙁
