The tension!

To hell with enemies to lovers. Friends to lovers hits all the way different.

The whole gang is rallying. Love the dynamics within the group, it’s especially nice to read about when they’ve never actually all been in the same space properly at the same time before now.

My initial impression of Wil was thankfully short lived. She know feels more fleshed out and I’m really enjoying the dynamic between the two characters and their juxtaposing personalities and quirks. The writer is doing a real good job with playing with the levels and layers of tension at this point too.

At first, Wil’s pov narration had me a bit worried as she can come off as a stereotypical “i’m not like other girls” character trope which is boring and not feminist in the least. However, Elwood’s chapters are redeeming this for me so far. The gothic writing really comes to life and there is something charming yet
disturbing about him and his worldview.
