I really like the ending because it was a very calm and happy mood compared to the tension that was present earlier in the book. There was a sense of closure for the characters so it gave off a positive vibe.

I think that throughout the whole book, the author wanted the reader to predict what they think will occur next. The characters are mainly very round and dynamic so they each have their own issues and lives rather than being very flat and useless to the plot.

The way the author portrays Deborah I think is helping the reader create inferences by foreshadowing what will happen later on. For instance, dialogue such as "I feel like a fly in a spiders web." Help create this image of Deborah as a victim(fly) being hurt by a stronger opponent.

I think since the beginning, the main characters shows a strong and fierce inner self. She doesn't let anyone push her down and is very stubborn. Considering the fact that she is a news reporter, that can actually come in handy.
