I’m not even 10% in and this book is both so good and so incredibly tragic. Not for light reading before bed.

Okay, I can’t do it. I need to put this away and hopefully come back to it later. There is *so much* torture. It’s not graphic, it’s very matter-of-fact, but any details at all beyond “They were tortured” makes me feel sick. I can handle (but don’t enjoy) even graphic violence in fiction as long as it’s not SA, but knowing these things happened to real people is too much for my brain right now.
