I should have known after an aborted attempt with James Joyce's Ulysses... I don't particularly enjoy stream-of-consciousness writing. It's disjointed, with too many time and pov skips. I may have found it edgy or titillating back when I was a teenager flirting with chaos magick, now I just don't have time for bad plots.
