Christians, by and large, tend to adopt an anthropocentric (humancentric) perspective of the universe that places man, like the axle of a wheel, at the center of all things. In this view, man is both the principal protagonist of creation and its primary purpose. All other sentient creatures in created order are ancillary characters in the story of mankind.
