Suzette Haden Elgin’s “For the Sake of Grace” is a revelation. Immediately after finishing it, I ordered her novel Native Tongue (which was already on my radar, but has just become a high-priority read).
This entire collection has been phenomenal so far. LeGuin, Attebery, and Fowler know how to pick ‘em.

“Distant Signals” by Andrew Weiner has the exact same plot as that Futurama episode where the aliens insist that more episodes be made of their favorite show, Ally McBeal. I wonder if it was a conscious inspiration.
