Milton How is it so far? I saw a documentary on this brother and was fascinated.

Andrew This book is not bad (so far) and I would recommend it. I’m very impressed with his achievements - nobleman, master swordsman (France’s best fencer), soldier (a Colonel no less), music virtuoso (composer, violinist and conductor), revolutionary and socialite. Incredible considering his background and the time he lived in! You would think someone with his credentials should be more well known and yet he faded into obscurity after his death.

I myself first learned about him in J. A. Rogers "World’s Great Men of Color" Volume II and I purchased an album of his violin concertos a while ago.

There is at least one other book about Saint-George I would like to read.
