I only just started this book, and I’m enjoying it so much. Realistically, I’ve read only one other Asian-centric book, which was a mystery novel called The Honjin Murders, and while that book was great (and different), “Invisible” is giving me more of what I want in a book about Asianness. It’s a shame I haven’t read more AAPI books before, but “Invisible” is motivating me to find others. Stay tuned!

This book so far is very "light" on theology and heavier on socio-cultural commentary. I guess they’re not mutually exclusive, but I was hoping for more talk about interiority, spirituality, and church dynamics. Hoping for more of that in the second half!
