this was an okay selection of stories; the first one was fine, points for the lesbians, & i enjoyed the shaman & the antelope spirit, but the author's attempts at tying it in with actual mongol history felt clunky. i liked chak muuch a lot, a very fun mayan s&s story featuring weird forest constructs. the last one felt weirdly juvenile? very unimpressive prose, w a protag who read like a jealous 16 yr old girl
