I’m so confused on what time frame this is taking place. Like is Adam in the present or the past?

She’s still insufferable but the story isn’t to bad. Thank goodness, Adam sounds sweet, Carol sounds fun and her Ex-husband Eric actually seems like a good guy.

Damn it another insufferable main character who has a nice husband and making the issue that he’s too nice.
And decides to take a trip to Italy that was supposed to be a trip with her mother and he was being supportive and she acts like a dick.
