Sure, GR, I'm to blame for not coming around as much as I used to, but it does make it a little difficult to be social in social media when you don't get notifications of messages received...like, ever, for months now.
And if you happen to see them by chance while scrolling your feed, it doesn't matter if you reply, because the person you're talking to most likely won't ever get a notification and see your reply.

If it was only something slipping by, it would be a vast improvement... I don't get any notifications for comments at all. 🙈

I'm also starting to think they have no intention of fixing it and it's very unlikely they're not aware of the problem by now.
The one thing I realized is that now you have to click the box "Notify me when people comment" in each one of your reviews, and your friends' reviews when you post a comment. Every single time. I went through all my reviews on GR (that's my OCD 😅) and clicked the little box in all of them. They were all 'unclicked' after the last time GR messed with something. The one thing I don't understand is why those boxes in the comment section are not ticked by default, when I chose the option 'notify me when people comment on my book review, my profile, etc' in the account settings. Makes no sense.

I have that box selected for this update, for example, and yet I haven't had one notification about any of the comments you see in this page. And this isn't the only occurrence.
