Goggins had to go through heart surgery a second time and had to wait 14months. Before the second surgery, he was running, but going afib. Once returning to compete for delta force. He got in his head and imagined his win which led to his downfall. He then moved onto beating the pull up bar record which he failed twice before he did it the 3rd time.

Goggins asked to go to Ranger school where he was stripped of his rank and treated the same as everyone and he thrived. He became a great leader and graduated. When training to become a DEVGRU his weakness was pushing himself and not his teammates which didn’t lead for him to get the call. Instead he tried out for delta force, but injured his ankle, but was asked to return to try again.

Goggins had now competed in triathlons and did a few in Hawaii.
He mentioned about the hard work and the failures in his journey.
Not preparing enough and using a strategy. How he was searched out to help recruit African Americans.
Also how he was found with a hole in his heart and instead of giving up he said “Fuck No.”
Still running on a half tank he pushed himself in his life.

Goggins trained, completed bad water and got 5th place.

Goggins recovers and trains a little for the trail run in Hawaii. He still a rookie but completes the trail in 36hrs and in 9th place. Now he has been accepted into the badwater race and will begin his training.

Goggins completed buds and became a seal. He talked about the seals he was with and how Operation red wing was the worse mission in seal history since WW2. We learned about Marcus Luttrell and his lone survivor (Book and Movie). Then we learned how Goggins had to run the San Diego one day (100 miles in 24hrs) to be able to compete in the badwater 135. The race left him with stool and bloody piss, broken bones, etc.

David Goggins, went into buds and showed his peers his strength and commintment. He helped lead boat crew 2 and made them push themselves more than any other crew. Psycho Pete and SBG saw it and it pissed them off. He was forced to swim to them and was able to pass hell week without losing anyone in his crew.

Goggins talks about how his cell disease that’s a variant got him out of the Air Force, but saw a show about seals which pushed him to join. At 275lbs he lost his weight and trained for the asvab which he passed and became a seal.

David talks about how his mother met wilmouth and how he passed. How he moved back to Brazil, Indiana and experienced racism. He first learned about Scott Greane. He also cheated his way until he looked at himself and created the accountability mirror. Started his journey on turning his life around. Passed his asvb the third time.
