Imagine how mad I'll be when I get to the end of the book and there's no ending because the entire first book was worldbuilding. No, Ron, No! There must be another way!

Dockson's monologue is the only one that has incited any emotion from me thus far. The book speaks of passion but doesn't flesh it out. Even Vin and Kelsier are barely characters worth noting.

At least the protagonists are also questioning the Lord Ruler and everything about the world haha. Current vibe is spectating a DND campaign and the DM has just been making stuff up for the last hour. It better all be foreshadowing or I'll be pissed.

Reads like assigned reading for school so far. Everything is very matter-of-fact. The Lord Ruler sounds like a joke. Reminds me of the Wizard of Oz or Shrek. It's like naming yourself King Majesty or Master Boss. Imagine being so insecure you can't be referred to by your actual name or even a single moniker.
