this book of poetry is one of my most favorites to read since i read time is a mother 2 years ago.
walker really uses resonant language and gets across a point so quickly and repeats it while reminding you it’s a poem and the way a phrase is written and its breaks are so important. dont remember the last time i thought so much about form, or wanted to read poems one after another until i had to stop
