i hate to say it, but i just can’t get through classics. i’ve tried the secret garden, the hobbit, it just didn’t click, and im a bit ashamed of it. i borrowed this book from my english teacher back in september, at this point i think she forgot so i may keep it

You don't need to be ashamed of it, I don't really like that many classics either. Personally though, I find that I enjoy the ones most tailored to my interests (1984 is probably my favorite classic because I like learning about dictatorships)
