This book sucks. Aside from a slightly enjoyable reading experience at the very start when Russell is describing the setting of Swamplandia!, the Bigtree family’s Alligator theme park, this book is a painful read. The story tears into two completely independent plot lines. I have 27 pages remaining and Russell hasn’t even begun merging the two. I’m expecting a train wreck merger of the two stories to end this.
