Just like in "Our Wives Under The Sea", Julia Armfield´s writing sucks me in and perfectly transports the feelings of the characters. The problem is that this means that after reading I am feeling as irritated and lost as the Carmichael sisters and I´m not sure that´s what I want to feel... Maybe her short stories will be a better fit for me, because then I can appreciate her ideas and her writing in smaller doses...
