Excuse me while I go cry in the corner. This is intended to be a funny line in the book, a moment where Navalny is teasing himself in his prison diary, but it's clear he knew what was coming and I'm a wreck.

I am BEGGING anyone who feels hopeless to, at the very least, read or listen to Chapter 15 of this book. Do not let crooks take you hostage. Do not just look down at the table. As long as you CARE about people, there will always be a community to rally.

Alexei's sense of humor keeps catching me off guard. He was legitimately so funny.

This is such a fascinating memoir and I'm pleasantly surprised as how accessible the information about Soviet history is. I was worried about feeling lost, but it's straightforward to follow.
