I’m only skimming the book now probably till the end to see how predictably it ties up Ruby and Thomas

Thomas returned to the skies escorting bombers to France.
Perhaps this story is too loose and familiar. Read lots of Ww2 “historical fiction love stories” and I have lots of other books I want to read and recommend.

Unbelievable to be strong enough to want to help escape line but then falls for 2nd pilot she saved
