Book is a masterpiece! I knew the second i learned about the magic system, what the blight was. Only issue i had with the book, was a little too obvious. Amazing book tho!
I didnt catch on as fast as you!lol. My only gripe is that I wish the romance subplot was left out. It was so minor anyway and I felt their relationship would have felt more powerful without it...especially within the context of colonialism/racism. It gets a little too close to white savior for my comfort.Still a 5 out of 5 though.
Yes! ML Wang doesn’t miss! I want her to write another book asap!
