Really enjoying this. The rhythm of the sentence structure is really pleasant. It helps that I have the voice in my head of the actor who portrays this character on the tv show Sleepy Hollow. He really does a marvelous job. The perspective and observances of the writer are thought-provoking. We really do live in a privileged time. But we also would benefit from preserving the knowledge & disciplines of earlier times.
