On a second thought, I cannot believe that Ridoc would ever betray Vi.
So my guesses on “the new brother” are either
1) Aaric - to change his fate/save Xaden
2) Ridoc - cause he knows Vi needs help with Xaden

Thinking about that theory about Ridoc being the “other brother” and now I just noticed how Ridoc and his dragon almost attacked Violet and Tairn……….

I know what happens in this book and yet I scared to read it
