What's new to me in this book: Anne Boleyn's adolescent years spent in two European courts where the women she served (Margaret of Austria and Queen Claude of France) had much more agency/power/influence than Queen Katherine back home in Jolly Old. In short, Anne had a political education which must have been a large part of her motivation as Henry VIII began to take an interest in her. . . .
