A) I may be too stupid for this book. ('My friend is an economist. Tractors. *applause*')

B) (1) I do not understand someone like Anna. (2) we have some similarities in background, including the Catholic part. And the unplanned part. And the . . . etc. (3) I do not understand Anna.

I wish I was not forced to see inside Anna's head.

I'm always confused by the 'IT WILL DESTROY THE CHURCH!!!!' angle. 2000+ years, fighting back against things like evolution, then accepting, etc. Seems more likely to die from indifference and corruption than any one thing being a 'destroy the church' type event. Even if it suddenly came out that, say, Pope Francis was gay, I do not see that as a 'destroy the church' kind of thing.

Finally starting a book by the last author of the short story collection 'Girls with Guns' that I have not yet tired a full length book by.
