It is dense enough that I wanted time anyway to cross-reference his allusions, etc. Lots of Edgar Allen Poe references (he wrote this as he was translating the Complete Edgar Allen Poe into German). It also shares an affinity for Finnegans Wake (hence the Dream). So, I figured each page needed a proper day and if I only do a page a day, eventually (I'm needing to catch up), I will still be able to do my regularly scheduled readings.
Plus, I'm trying to be a bit extra careful with the actual 16lb book so I don't bury its value by f'ing with its binding to much or ripping pages, etc.
