Malcolm tried not to be obvious about mouthing it silently, letting himself feel the name he’d wanted for so long but been too nervous to ask; the way it rested on his lips, the way it sighed over his tongue. It felt…good.
Almost as good as listening to that dry, lyrically deep, sand-silk voice wrapping around the syllables of Khalaji.
