I find myself cringing frequently while reading this, and I’m only up to Chapter 3. Adams makes several incredibly well-articulated points about society’s relationship with meat and womanhood and how they intersect. That said, she seems dead-set on dragging humanity down to the level of animals rather than elevating animals to the level of humans (and yes, there’s a very big difference).

Ashton That said, as a vegetarian man (how stunning and brave) I really resonate with her analysis on the perceived femininity of those who don’t consume meat. We’ll see how I feel as I trudge along.
