Queenie was shown pictures not telling you what of you will have to read the book to find out. but I'm almost done the book and the interview with the radio host just happened and what a feat. Queenie is the best narrator I've read. so descriptive and comical in some scenes. ..the talk of life in captivity by the Gestapo is the worst nightmare anyone in that time would face next to the death camps. how von Linden makes Queenie keep writing her life in the war and her friends is so invasive. I can see how she feels how she feels. it's not a spoiler you read about it in the first chapter.

I'm buddy reading this. so far so good...a little confusing. ..cus it's like someone is writing a letter about someone but then it goes into a story about that someone .then it goes back to the writer. I don't know who is writing but I guess we will find out at the end of the book. first 3 chapters are read.
