i’ve had the book for years but haven’t read it in full. i’m taking a class called trauma theory and treatment, which is taught by someone who worked under van der kolk before he became disgraced for bullying his employees, and this is a required reading. so far he’s offered incredible first hand insight into working with trauma patients and has introduced incredible findings. just wish he bragged less.
