Third attempt… still not favoring this read… for this to be a medieval dragon academy setting with a war happening, I honestly don’t appreciate the descriptions and dialogue for this novel. I’m only reading and actually going to finish because my husband bought the 1st edition book for me when it came out and I love fantasy. But still definitely not in my top favorite…

This book starts off as if it’s a sequel rather than a 1st in a series.
There’s literally so much info dumping that you have to keep tabs/notes on every other page. I love fantasy, but this is a lot within the first 5 chapters. Also, I thought the story was going to start a whole lot differently than the direction it’s going now.
Definitely one of my slower reads.
