Interesting first short story. Not a lot happened. A snapshot of two lifelong friends, with a far reaching and understated event in the past, told via an epistolary account & a bit from the son. Different to King’s usual story style yet filled with the in-depth characterisation you’d expect from this master teller of tales.

Look forward to story 2 when my eyes & brain are up to reading an actual print book, lols.
