the author (my professor) is genuinely obsessed with himself i fear...how many times in one paragraph can he speak of himself as an angel who, unlike everyone around him, ACTUALLY cares about poor people. also why does he think he's woke for not wanting a Jewish girl but instead a "beautiful, educated Protestant woman"?
