Ryland Grace’s lack of swearing is a bit weird for a perfectly normal adult man. It adds an amusing boyish charm at first and later tends to draw too much attention to itself. Then, the first use of a swear at the end of Chapter Six adds a cathartic kind of humor to the whole thing. 😂
